Viewing: Shawls / Scarves
Angora goats produce a beautiful, luxurious, incredibly durable, fibre called mohair, which rates amongst the warmest natural fibres known.
Length: 140 cm
Width: 22 cm
The properties of mohair include:
Insulating – Fabrics can be made that are lofty and this traps air inside the fabric and gives superalative insulation properties. Whilst this can be a cooling factor in excessive heat, it is the ability to trap heat in cold weather that is better known. You will not be cold with a mohair scarf.
Durability – Whilst being both light and soft fabrics made from mohair have excellent durability.
Comfort – Mohair has good wicking properties; this merely means it can hold moisture and carry it away from the body. This in turn makes mohair comfortable to wear.
Natural – Mohair is a natural fibre, grown in areas that otherwise would be non-productive. Animals browse freely, and are not harmed when hair is removed by shearing. Obviously the source is renewable
Note; Hand wash cold.
