Tagua is the South American term for vegetable ivory. It is a material harvested sustainably from palm trees and is a replacement for (and improvement on) mammal ivory, being more durable, hard-wearing and cruelty-free to produce. Tagua takes up to two years to dry out and then can be carved and dyed by local artisans to produce the beautiful, tactile jewellery in their range.
The length is adjustable.
